GUARDIANS OF THE WILD

An Education & Impact Initiative / Human-Wildlife Coexistence Initiative | 501(c)(3)

We cannot protect a world we no longer feel connected to. And we cannot expect the next generation to save what they have never been taught to understand, value, or love.

At a time when wildlife populations are declining, natural habitats are disappearing, and human activity is placing unprecedented pressure on ecosystems, another crisis is unfolding: a growing disconnection between people-particularly children-and the natural world.

The Human-Wildlife Coexistence Initiative (HWCI) was created to help change that.

We are more than a conservation nonprofit. We are building a movement to reconnect humanity with the natural world—using the extraordinary power of documentary storytelling to inspire understanding, ignite compassion, and turn awareness into meaningful action.

Our mission is to protect wildlife, uplift communities, and safeguard the ecosystems upon which all life depends. We believe one of the most powerful ways to achieve this is through education—not simply by showing people what is being lost, but by introducing them to the remarkable individuals fighting to protect it, the challenges they face, and the solutions that offer hope for a shared future.

Our Vision: Turning Stories Into a Movement

At the heart of our educational mission is Guardians of the Wild, a documentary series that takes audiences to the frontlines of wildlife conservation, environmental protection, and human-wildlife conflict. Each short, character-driven film tells the story of extraordinary people working to protect animals, restore ecosystems, and find practical solutions that allow humans and wildlife to coexist. These are not traditional wildlife documentaries.

We are not simply documenting the crisis. We are documenting the people working to solve it.

Through deeply human, emotionally compelling stories, we connect audiences with the individuals behind conservation efforts-wildlife rescuers, scientists, environmental advocates, community leaders, and everyday people who refuse to stand by while the natural world disappears.

By bringing audiences face-to-face with these heroes, we make complex environmental issues personal, understandable, and impossible to ignore. And most importantly, we show that solutions exist—and that everyone has a role to play.

Education Is Our Mission. Film Is Our Vehicle.

Our films are designed to move beyond traditional documentary distribution and become the foundation of an expanding, nationwide education and community engagement program. We envision an educational experience that combines powerful documentary screenings, facilitated conversations, environmental education, and practical opportunities for action.

1. Inspiring the Next Generation: Schools and Youth Education

Children will inherit the environmental consequences of decisions being made today. Yet many are growing up increasingly disconnected from the wildlife, ecosystems, and natural processes that sustain their lives. We believe that connection must be restored.

Our education program will introduce age-appropriate documentary films into elementary, middle, and high schools, reaching students at critical stages of their development.

Through storytelling and supporting educational materials, students will explore:
